LabIndonesia Visits Bandung Laboratories

Besides our trip to Bogor, LabIndonesia also conducted roadshow visits to Bandung twice in May & September last year, to visit several research centres, such as the R&D Center of Mineral and Coal Technology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences,  Indonesian Vegetables Research Institute, the Center For Textiles, Research Center for Water Resources, and more.

 About the R&D Center of Mineral and Coal Technology (TekMIRA)

TekMIRA is an agency under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Indonesia that provides R&D & technical advisory services related to the Indonesian mining and coal industry.

 

About the Indonesian Institute of Sciences

The Indonesian Institute of Sciences is the governement agency responsible for conducting research, provide guidance and establish standards on scientific developements in Indonesia, and develop cooperation between scientific communities locally and internationally.

After meeting the laboratory personnel there, we have managed to not only introduce LabIndonesia further, but gained their interest in visiting by providing them a platform for them to source for new suppliers.

 

                       

International Conference To Be Held In Conjunction With LabIndonesia

LabIndonesia is proud to announce that 14th Asian Conference on Analytical Science - "The Role Of Analytical Chemistry And Instrumentation To Improve  Education, Research, And Industrial Quality For Better Environment", alongside with 15 workshops and seminars, will be held together LabIndonesia this coming April!

The Asian Conference on Analytical Sciences (Asianalysis) aims to provide a timely forum for analytical scientists to disseminate their recent research works, to exchange ideas and experience on a broad range of analytical sciences topics.  It covers all areas of analytical chemistry and related disciplines.  The conference also emphasizes interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary research interactions and mutual understanding of the Asian countries.

The conference is held every 2 or 3 years. Previous Asianalysis conferences were held in Japan (1991, 1997, 2001, 2013), China (1993, 1999, 2004, 2011), Korea (1995, 2007), Taiwan (2005), Malaysia (2009), and Thailand (2016). The fourteenth Asianalysis will be held at the Jakarta International Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 4th-7th, 2018, and is organized by Indonesian Chemical Society (Himpunan Kimia Indonesia, HKI)

A Scientific Month with Lab Indonesia

In January 2016, a group of lab managers, scientist, government officers and students have gained knowledge & insights through a series of workshops, which cover topics on laboratory instruments and technology advancement.

Organised by Lab Indonesia, supported by Regional Health Laboratory, Jakarta, the workshops highlighted the following topics:

  • the calibration, qualification and verification of laboratory instrument and the appropriate usage according to GLP
  • troubleshoot on spectrophotometer analysis and the latest technology update
  • growth promotion test, latest analysis technic and the importance of microbiology analysis.
  • troubleshoot on HPLC analysis and the latest technology update

The participants also have the opportunities to get the most updated information about Lab Indonesia exhibition and a series of seminars that will be held during the exhibition. Following the success of past event, Workshop on Chemical Inventory Management System (CIMS) once again held in conjunction with Lab Indonesia in year 2016, on 15 April at Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), Jakarta, Indonesia.

The workshop trains scientists, chemists, researchers and laboratory users to use an open source software that helps to save cost, improve work efficiency and increase chemical safety & security. This workshop aims to aid chemical facilities, seeking to implement measures to support chemical risk management practices and responsible care.
